Hi! I’m Kirsten, the heart behind Brave Roots Tree Service. I’m a certified arborist with a deep love for trees, the land, and living in harmony with nature. My work is grounded in care, integrity, and respect for people, plants, and the ecosystems we share. With each tree I climb or care for, I bring not only technical skill but a soulful connection to the natural world. Brave Roots is more than a service, it’s a reflection of my passion for stewardship, sustainability, and supporting others in feeling safe, strong, and rooted in the world around them.

All About Me

Hi, I’m Kirsten — the hands, heart, and soul behind Brave Roots Tree Service.

I was born in London, Ontario, but Muskoka has always felt like home. Even before I was born, this land was already part of my family's story. Every summer growing up was spent here, barefoot in the forest, surrounded by lakes, trees, and the kind of peace only nature can offer. Those early years planted something deep in me, a lifelong love for the wild and a sense of belonging among the trees.

I originally went to school for nursing, drawn to the call of care and healing. But over time, I realized that my truest path of service was outside in Nature. In 2020, I started Brave Roots Tree Service, a business born from both passion and purpose. I now live locally in Emsdale, Ontario, and feel incredibly grateful every day to work with the trees I love so deeply.

My work spans from technical, hazardous tree removals to the delicate pruning of small trees and shrubs. Whether I’m climbing a towering pine or shaping a backyard maple, I bring the same level of respect, precision, and care. For me, tree work is more than a trade. It's a relationship rooted in kindness, skill, and a heartfelt commitment to the well-being of both people and the planet.
